胡桃木

I’ve been holding this walnut token while planning a lighting layout, and the grain variation gives it a really unique, organic feel. The oil finish feels smooth and brings out the depth of the wood nicely. It’s a small thing, but it makes the whole project seem more real.

I wasn't sure how different the grain would look in person but this piece has a lovely deep chocolate tone with darker streaks running through it. The oil finish feels smooth and natural rather than glossy, which is exactly what I wanted.

Ordered this to match the hood fixtures in my kitchen and the grain lines up nicely. The oil finish feels dry to the touch, not slick or waxy, which I prefer. Color came out a touch darker than the photos, but that's walnut for you.
